Terms & Conditions

Welcome to HolliGo – Geared to Explore, Camp & 4x4.

By booking or renting a vehicle through our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

1. Booking & Payments

  • Daily Rate: R 1,750.00 per day

  • Minimum Rental: 3 days

  • Discounts:
    • 5% off for rentals over 30 days
    • 10% off for rentals over 60 days

  • Unlimited Kilometres – enjoy total freedom within South Africa.

  • No Border Crossings – vehicles must remain within South African borders.

Deposit & Balance

  • Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit of R 15,000 is payable upon vehicle collection. This amount is fully refundable after the rental period, provided the vehicle is returned in accordance with the rental agreement and no damage or losses are incurred.

  • Payment Methods: Accepted via EFT

Payments & Data Security

  • FULL PAYMENT must be received 14 working days prior to date of collection. 

  • All payments are processed securely through EFT.

  • HolliGo does not store or have access to your credit card details.

  • You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date billing and contact information.

  • HolliGo reserves the right to cancel a booking in cases of suspected fraud or failed payment.

2. Cancellation Policy

  • More than 30 days before start: Full refund

  • 30–14 days: 50% refund

  • 14–7 days: 25% refund

  • Less than 7 days: No refund

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7 business days.

3. Insurance & Liability

Each HolliGo Jimny includes comprehensive insurance with flexible excess options:

Exclusions (not covered by any plan)

  • Tyres, rims, windscreen, undercarriage, roof, water damage

  • Reckless or intoxicated driving, off-road racing, or negligence

  • Personal belongings left inside the vehicle

The renter is liable for any loss or damage not covered by insurance, as well as any costs arising from breach of these terms.

4. Vehicle Use & Restrictions

  • Drivers must be 23 years or older with a valid driver’s licence.

  • Only the drivers listed on the rental agreement may operate the vehicle.

  • Vehicles must not be used:

    • Outside South Africa

    • For towing, racing, or unlawful activities

    • In deep water or extreme off-road conditions

  • Vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking for safety, recovery, and contractual purposes.

5. Vehicle Collection & Return

  • Fuel Policy (Full-to-Full): The Vehicle is provided with a full tank and must be returned full. Failing this, the Renter will be charged for the fuel required to refill the tank, plus a R 150 refuelling fee.

  • Cleaning Fee: R 1,500 if returned excessively dirty.

  • Late Returns: Charged at the daily rate plus applicable penalties.

  • Return to the agreed location, date, and time.

6. Optional Add-Ons & Extras

Enhance your adventure with optional extras (subject to availability):

  • Solar Panel – R150/day

  • Airport Collection/Drop-Off – R650 each way (Cape Town International)

7. Traffic Fines & Penalties

  • Renters are responsible for all traffic and parking fines during the rental period.

  • An R 250 admin fee applies per fine.

8. Breakdown & Assistance

  • Roadside assistance is included for mechanical issues not caused by negligence.

  • Please contact HolliGo immediately before arranging any repairs.

9. Refundable Security Deposit

  • The R 15,000 deposit is refunded within 5 business days after vehicle inspection, provided:

    • The vehicle is undamaged and clean

    • Returned with a full tank

    • All equipment and accessories are intact

  • Any deductions will be communicated with a detailed breakdown.

10. Responsibility & Indemnity

  • You are responsible for the vehicle and all passengers during the rental period.

  • HolliGo is not liable for loss, theft, injury, or damage resulting from use of the vehicle.

  • You agree to comply with all South African road laws and regulations.

11. Privacy

Your personal data (such as name, contact details, and driver’s licence) is collected only to process your rental and communicate with you.

12. Website & Online Store Use

  • All website content (text, photos, graphics, and logos) belongs to HolliGo.

  • You may not copy, resell, or misuse any content without written permission.

  • Prices, promotions, and availability are subject to change at any time.

  • HolliGo reserves the right to cancel or refuse service in cases of misuse, inaccurate information, or suspected fraud.

13. Errors, Inaccuracies & Updates

Occasionally, there may be typographical or pricing errors.
HolliGo reserves the right to correct any inaccuracies or update information without prior notice.

14. Force Majeure

HolliGo shall not be held liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to weather, road closures, natural disasters, or government restrictions.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any disputes shall be handled in accordance with South African jurisdiction.

16. Acceptance of Terms

By placing a booking or making a payment on this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
